How To Choose Chocolate Ball Mill

Chocolate Ball Mill is one of the main milling unit for making chocolate, also called Ball Mill Machine or Ball Miller, Bead Mill. Ball Mill is the preferred solution for fine grinding of various masses like chocolate, compound, creams for fillings and coating, cocoa masses, spreads, nut pastes and other fat-based messes.

Normally ball mill are designed with single shaft or double shafts, but most common used are single shaft ball mill.

Balls to be used mostly of bearing steel, diameter 6-8mm. Compared with stainless steel, bearing steel hardness better, besides, accompany with magnetic filter, metal content will be controlled to a safety level.

A pre-mixer is required before milling, liquid fat, cocoa powder, sugar and milk powder mixed in pre-mixer then pump to ball mill for further milling.

Chocolate Conche Refiner also used as pre-mixer in some chocolate factories.  But it would be better to leave this stage after milling to getting the conching processing happen here to achieve a better flavour.

Fine milled chocolate paste will pump to a stroage vessel with certain temperature and stirring. Compound chocolate can be used for production from here, real chocolate will need another process called tempering.
